Open Value Companywide (volume licensing agreement)
The Microsoft Open Value Companywide volume licensing agreement is the contract for SMEs which want to acquire their software while standardising their IT assets.
By opting for this contract, you choose to standardise your IT equipment on one, two or three of the following products: Windows Enterprise, Office Pro Plus or Office 365 Enterprise (E1, E3, E5 or Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise), CALs (Core or Business). If you choose one or two products, you will receive a 5% reduction compared to the price of a traditional Open Value contract, if you select the three components of the platform, you will receive a 15% discount!
You have, of course, the possibility of adding additional products without commitment in term of quantity but, in all cases, all of your software will be covered by Software Assurance.
Once the contract has started, you agree to maintain your entire fleet covered by the product(s) of the platform, and you also have the option of purchasing additional licenses with no minimum quantity for three years. At the end of the three years, you will need to establish a new contract to extend Software Assurance and/or continue to purchase licenses under this type of agreement. You can, of course, decide to stop there and keep the acquired software.
An Open Value Enterprise agreement can, like the Open Value contract, be shared by several companies within the same group, as long as they are present in the same territory. In Europe, the territory is limited to the European Union and the EFTA zone (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland).
