Microsoft has renamed some of its cloud subscriptions today. Three offers for SMEs change their name:
Office 365 Business Essentials becomes Microsoft 365 Business Basic.
Office 365 Business Premium is now called Microsoft 365 Business Standard.
Microsoft 365 Business, therefore, becomes Microsoft 365 Business Premium.
Finally, the Office 365 Business and Office 365 Pro Plus offers are renamed Microsoft 365 Apps for Business / for Enterprise.
This name change has no impact on the functionality nor pricing of the various suites.
Microsoft 365 Business Basic gives you a 50GB mailbox, access to Teams and online versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook as well as 1TB of storage space on OneDrive.
Microsoft 365 Business Standard gives you the same functionality as the previous offering but adds the ability to install Office locally on one or more PCs or Macs as well as on your phone.
Microsoft 365 Business Premium takes all the features of Microsoft 365 Business Standard and adds computer management through Intune and Azure Information Protection.
Finally, Microsoft 365 Apps is an offer that only contains Office applications, licensed per user, unlike Office 2019, which is licensed per device.
